South Orange Police Blotter as of September 17
Burglary to Auto - A Valley Street resident reported that sometime between 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12 and 10:40 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 14, actor(s) unknown entered her vehicle and rummaged through the interior, though nothing seemed to be missing at this time.
Theft of Bicycle - A South Orange resident reported that sometime between 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29 and 7:30 a.m., Thursday Aug. 30, actor(s) unknown stole his red, hybrid bicycle that he had left locked and secured to a bike rack at the South Orange Train Station.
Warrant Arrest - Jared Yallop, a 28 year old NJ resident was arrested on Friday, Sept. 7, at approximately 8:35 p.m. for an outstanding arrest warrant out of South Orange. Officers responded to a call of a suspicious person on Winthrop Terr., and located a subject who matched the description given on West End Rd. During the stop, a records check revealed the active arrest warrant and officers arrested Yallop without further incident. Officers transported Yallop to headquarters where he was processed accordingly.
Warrant Arrest - Yusef McGaskiee, a 37 year old Newark resident was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at approximately 10:35 a.m. for an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Essex County Sheriff's Department. Detectives stopped a suspicious person near the intersection of Riggs Pl and Gardner Ave. A records check during the stop revealed the active arrest warrant and detectives arrested McGaskiee without further incident. Officers responded and transported McGaskiee to headquarters where he was processed accordingly.
