Where: University Middle School, 255 Myrtle Ave., Irvington, NJ

Who: Adults and high school students. Children are welcome to help but must be accompanied by a parent. Registration is required to volunteer.  Masks are required.

Pastor Jennifer Hrynyk, who specializes in family ministry, says “Our volunteers have been forced to sit on the sidelines since February due to the Pandemic, while those who live on the brink of poverty are unable to provide the basics for their families.”  She continues, “At the same time, fewer donations have led to empty shelves at food pantries.  We’re delighted to be able to resume our support for the families of Irvington.”

In conjunction with its partners in ministry - the Irvington School System Board of Education, Superintendent Dr. April Vauss, and the Community Food Bank of New Jersey - Community Church has arranged for the distribution of diapers, food and feminine products to resume.  The “Oasis” Volunteer Ministry typically runs on the last Friday of each month and space is always available for more volunteers.
