SOMA Film Festival is happy to announce that along with all the great film programs, opening night party, and filmmaker Q & A's it will also be performing a script reading of the three short screenplay finalists with some local Broadway talent for absolutely free!

This inaugural event will take place on Sunday, March 18, at 3 p.m. in the Upper Chamber at The Woodland.

The amazingly talented actors (now known as the SOMA Film Fest Players) bringing their "A Game" talent to this event will be -

Danielle Ferland (Into The Woods, Sunday in the Park with George)
Todd Horman (Urinetown, Last Ship)
Jamie LaVerdiere (The Producers, Motown)

It should also be noted that all three short script finalists this year are women - girl power!

Jolene by Sabrina Besla
After a power outage at a local Texas morgue, Finn and his newbie co-worker, Walton, must deliver a freshly deceased corpse to another morgue but soon realize the body isn't quite dead.


 
Sessions by Gina Rodriguez
Silent for too long, a burdened woman hashes it out with all of her ex-boyfriends at once.
 
Duet by Lisanne Sartor
Murielle loves her daughter…perhaps too much.
