Auditions for Maplewood Strollers' "The Trip to Bountiful"

Carrie Watts has accepted the reality of living out her days in a cramped apartment with her unhappy son and daughter-in-law. Her only wish is to return to her beloved hometown of Bountiful, Texas, one last time. Tired of begging and being denied, she resolves to take matters into her own hands. Through feisty determination and the kindness of colorful strangers, she leads us on a bittersweet journey, and reminds us that things are not always as we remember. 

 

Auditions (no appointment necessary)

Sun & Mon, March 15 & 16, 7:30-10pm

callbacks Tues, Mar 17, 7:30-10pm

at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts

Auditioners will be asked to read from sides, alone and with others. Cold reading is completely acceptable. ​Texas accents will be used in this show, so auditioners will be asked to attempt that in their reading. Please arrive by 8pm and be prepared to stay until 10pm on one of the two audition dates above (your choice).

​Performance dates  Fri & Sat, May 8 & 9, @ 8pm; Sun, May 10, @ 2pm (Mother's Day); Fri & Sat, May 15 & 16, @ 8pm

​Rehearsals: 3-4 times per week until run-thrus, at the Burgdorff and other locations in the Maplewood area
