Sadie’s to host a Galentine’s Day event honoring the Women Heart’s Foundation

South Orange, N.J. – Local boutique, Sadie’s, will host a Galentine’s Day event to honor and fundraise for the Women’s Heart Foundation on Feb. 13 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. During the event, 10% of all purchases will go to the Women’s Heart Foundation.

The owner of Sadie’s, Cat Fisher, chooses a different charity every month to donate 1% of the store’s sales made. Giving back is at the core of the store’s identity and mission. This month’s charity, The Women’s Heart Foundation, is a nonprofit aiming to educate women about the risk and prevention of heart-related illnesses. It has been chosen as it has personally affected Fisher and her family.

“We are approaching the one-year anniversary of the sudden death of my mother from an aortic dissection”, says Fisher.  “She had a healthy lifestyle, so this event made me aware of the differences in women’s heart health versus men’s heart health, for women’s heart issues can many times go unnoticed or ignored.”

At the Feb. 13 event, there will also be a guest speaker and refreshments will be provided. "The Galentine’s Day event is as much about education for women’s heart health as it is a part of my healing journey. Anyone is welcome to join and show support,” says Fisher.
