Jersey Jazz, the magazine of the New Jersey Jazz Society, will be featuring South Orange saxophonist and band leader Don Braden in an article in its November-December issue.

The profile comes as he is returning to the music of Earth Wind and Fire and Stevie Wonder, performing his own arrangements for a big band on Monday, December 2, at the Morris Museum’s Bickford Theatre in Morristown. His 2018 album, Earth Wind and Wonder (Creative Perspective Music), which displayed small group arrangements of their music, spent 11 weeks in the Top 10 of the Jazz Week radio airplay charts, peaking at #2, Jersey Jazz said.

The bi-monthly magazine is put out by The New Jersey Jazz Society. Its mission is “to promote and preserve America’s great art form — jazz.” The society also sponsors live jazz events and provides scholarships to New Jersey college students studying jazz. Visit www.njjs.org for more information.
