MAPLEWOOD, NJ — When Gil Eli was a little boy he wished to own his own business. Now, with a new Allstate office in Maplewood, "Being an agency owner has been a dream come true."
Eli had the ribbon cutting for his office recently, and explained, “The reason I chose Maplewood is that it’s a growing community, diverse, and a great opportunity for us to be there for the neighborhood — to serve and protect.” The office offers many insurance products, including those for homeowners, renters, automobiles, and businesses.
John Kane, president of Allstate New Jersey, said, “Our Allstate agents are small business owners throughout the state, every county, every township we can get into… As small business owners, they are a big part of the communities.”
Allstate New Jersey Sales Leader Renee Gear was also there. She said Eli will do well, as he “exudes passion and warmth and a genuine want to help people.”
Vic DeLuca, Maplewood mayor at the time, commented on the great location, at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Tuscan Road. “It’s really made this corner very attractive, thanks for doing this. Thank you for your support in coming to Maplewood.” Committee members Nancy Adams and Dean Dafis, and then-Deputy Mayor Frank McGehee were also in attendence.
As Gil says on his website, “I’ve gotten to know many local families as an Allstate agent in Maplewood. I enjoy being a part of the community, and building local relationships is one of the best parts of my job.
“I know what life is like here in Maplewood – that you choose your car and your home to fit your lifestyle and your budget. I also know how important it is to do the same when it comes to insurance. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you to find the solutions that meet your needs.”
