MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Maplewood Chamber of Commerce opening meeting featured Brian Castell, CEO of Bizzo.co, a company that assists other businesses with their digital marketing.
The meeting was opened by Chamber President Diana Galer, who welcomed all and introduced the members of the Board of Trustees in attendance: Norm Woolley, Ellen Donker, VP, Rhonda Panken, Legal Counsel, Claudine Baptiste, Christine Coster, Membership, Rene Clausen, Past President, Katherine Wilson, Joy Yagid and Fred Smith, as well as Lorraine Labonne-Storch, the Chamber's Executive Director.
Galer thanked David Heffernan of True Salvage Café, which is a new café, art and antiques store on Elmwood Avenue, that plans to open in October, which sponsored the breakfast.
Galer also thanked John Meade for hosting the event at St. James's Gate, and for his ongoing generosity and support of the Chamber.
Castell gave an extensive presentation covering many aspects of digital marketing, and explained why the enhancements he suggested should help local businesses achieve a greater response from their marketing efforts, resulting in more business.
Galer shared that the Chamber's next meeting in October will be held at the Maplewood Library, and members will be introduced to all the resources available at and through the library to help with their businesses. The November meeting will be a Business Boot Camp.
"The goal is to expand the Chamber with greater engagement, greater visibility, grow the membership and its diversity, and create events that will return value to our members,” said Galer.
