MAPLEWOOD, NJ 07040 - Maplewood Township has issued an update concerning the paver construction project in Maplewood Village. On Monday, September 9, 2019 work will begin on the west side of Maplewood Ave opposite Ricalton Square.  This includes Freeman’s Fish Market, Roman Gourmet, Maplewood Cinema, Caldwell Banker and Strawberry Fields.  The work will approach the driveway to Kings.  Parking in front of these properties will be restricted during construction. The following week, September 16, the work will continue to Inwood Place affecting the Bank of America and Kings properties.

Road repairs will also begin on Maplewood Ave. between Baker Street and Lenox Place.  This work will be focused primarily between Able Baker and the Post Office.  Parking will be largely restricted in this area while work is being performed but will be made available as the work progresses.  Access to all stores shall remain open.  Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Work will begin at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m.

During this process, pedestrian access will be maintained. Updated schedules regarding road closures and detours will follow weekly. Thank you for your patience.
