SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Ridge Tire & Auto Center, which was located at 109 W. South Orange Ave., has an eviction notice posted to the front door of the building, which is now vacant.
The eviction notice dated Jan. 25, states that the property landlord, The Ridgewood Commons, has served an eviction notice to the tenant, Ridge Tire & Auto Center, and that "By order of the New Jersey Superior Court... the tenants of this rental premises have been evicted and the landlord has been placed in full possession thereof."
The phone number listed online for Ridge Tire was out of service as of Jan. 30, and no information is posted at the store about Ridge Tire re-opening at a new location.
Bob Zuckerman, Executive Director of the South Orange Village Center Alliance, stated via email that "Ridge Tire is closed permanently," and that he did not have information about the landlord's future plans for the property.
The landlord listed on the notice, The Ridgewood Commons, is associated with EEA Industries, which also owns the vacant lot across the street from Ridge Tire & Auto, as well as other properties in South Orange.
The EEA Industries website has a photo of the Ridge Tire location on their website with the description "South Orange Retail: A new retail location in downtown South Orange."
