Accompanied with Township officials, family and friends, the ribbon was cut, Saturday, February 29, signaling the official opening of Gary Jones' new office where Jones represents Edward Jones.
Gary Jones opened the office, located at 1611 Springfield Avenue Suite 1, across from the Maplewood Court and Police Headquarters, earlier in the month and is excited to have it fully functional, providing a convenient location to meet with clients.
Jones is really excited to have the office open and said “as some of you know it’s been an amazing and at times a very challenging journey, but I’m so excited being here, being in this town. We’ve been in this town since 2003 and the kids have grown up here. Just being a part of this community and doing something like this, I’m so proud and grateful and excited to be here, opening my office, and thank you all for coming to kick this off.”
Mayor Frank McGehee said, “we met back in 2014 and at a Tuscan event, Gary was at the grill and I didn’t know him but said ‘hey man, need some help' to which Gary said 'sure, come on’ and we’ve been friends ever since.”
Diana Galer, President of the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce, said "Gary’s been a wonderful asset to the Chamber; Taking things on, including when he was backed into being the head of the membership committee, taking it on with a good attitude and a big smile.”
Attending the ribbon cutting celebration were Mayor Frank McGehee, Deputy Mayor Dean Dafis and Former Mayor and now a Committeeman Vic DeLuca, Nicole Wallace, Executive Director of the Springfield Avenue Partnership, and Diana Galer, Ellen Donker and Steve Troupo of the office of the Chamber of Commerce, along with family and friends.
