Tuesday evening DeHart Park was alive with over 400 guests enjoying the exhibits, games, food and camaraderie with the Maplewood Police, The Township Department of Community Service and Many other sponsors and exhibitors.

It was as Mayor Victor DeLuca said " a great night with people of all ages and all kinds of folks here enjoying themselves and the hot dogs aren't bad!" 

As the smiling faces in the photos show, all appeared to be enjoying themselves. Detective Sergeant Michael Plamerezzi, Lead of the Community Service Bureau told TAPinto SOMA, this event started about 6 years ago as simply as a table set up at Police Headquarters. Now, we have a growth each year and we invite everyone to come out and enjoy the evening. He mentioned that there more activities each year and this year even an ice cream truck from Ben and Jerry's courtesy of Winchester Gardens. His thoughts were echoed by Officer Matt Joes who was pleased withe the record crowd and expressed his happiness to be participating with the great turnout.

Melissa Mancusso, head of the Township's Department of Community Services said "we're proud to be part of National Night Out. It's a great community event and I'm happy to see residents of all ages enjoying themselves".
