Maplewood, NJ – Saturday, October 5 Mayor Vic DeLuca, accompanied by Committeewoman Nancy Adams and Committeeman Greg Lembrich met at N & K Prime Marketplace located at 1899 Springfield Avenue, across from the Wines Barrel to cut the ceremonial ribbon officially opening the store.
DeLuca said “it’s terrific to have the first Full Service Butcher Shop in a very very long time operating in Maplewood. We are very happy to have them here. This is a great addition to Springfield Avenue which keeps getting better and better.
The shop is owned and operated by Teddy Niedzielski and Ariusz Kornacki, both trained butchers. Niedzielski was too busy helping various customers to say much other than how happy he is that things are moving along so well. Kornacki said “it took a little while to get going and have people find us, but now we are doing nicely and look forward to the business continuing to grow and more and more people become aware of us”.
The market is more than a butcher shop. In addition to the meat, they have fresh produce, prepared foods and many other items.
Niedzielski’s father helps out behind the counter and was also present as was his wife, Nikki Nieczielski. Korncki’s wife Joanna also had their four children present for the ribbon cutting, Kalina, Krystian, Ilana and Alek.
