MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Township Clerk Liz Fritzen has announced that Nancy J. Adams and Jamaine L. Cripe have filed to run for Maplewood's two open Township Committee seats; the deadline was yesterday, April 5, at 4 p.m.
Adams is in the last year of her second term on the Committee. Cripe is running for the first time. Incumbent Greg Lembrich announced in November that he would not be running for reelection; he is finishing his second term.
Adams and Cripe are both Democrats. No Republicans or those affiliated with any other parties filed petitions. Unless they face write-in opposition, they will be elected in the primary on June 8 and the general election on Nov. 2.
