MAPLEWOOD/SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — With the mostly-by-mail New Jersey Primary yesterday comes a longer wait for official election returns.

In the Maplewood Township Committee race, with Dean Dafis and Vic DeLuca running unopposed for reelection on the Democratic ticket, it is safe to say they advance to the November election. No Republicans are running against them.

In the race for Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, although no official election returns have been posted, Patricia Sebold congratulated Line A on Facebook for advancing, saying "A great thank you to the Essex County Chairman LeRoy Jones who performed a magnificent role winning us a Line A victory tonight in the Democratic Primary Election."

Further information will be available as more precincts report results.
