ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Lisa Sanders, an artist with two permanent pieces in the Wildflower Sculpture Park in South Mountain Reservation, has been appointed as Artistic Director/Curator of the park.

She replaces Tricia Zimic who served in the position for ten years.

Sanders holds an MFA from The New York Studio School and has exhibited in New Jersey, Brooklyn, New Rochelle, New Orleans, Illinois, South Carolina, Arizona and Colorado.

She has received many awards from different organizations including The New Jersey State Council on the Arts Artist Fellowship, The New York Studio School, Sculptor in Residence and a Fellowship Residency, The Vermont Studio Center. Sanders has also participated other residencies in the United States.

She will be working with Joanne Beckerich, Sally Fica, Greg Leshe, Jacqueline Mayers and Elyse Reissman. The group members have experience as artists, curators, landscape designers, social media managers, fundraisers and marketers.
