The Ribbon Cutting at Humble on Friday morning, September 27 marked the official Grand opening of the studio. The event was attended by Village Board of Trustee members, Walter Clarke, Karen Hartshorn Hilton, Bob Zuckerman Donna Coallier, and Summer Jones along with SOVCA Executive Director Julie Doran. Clarke welcomed allon behalf of the BOT and praised Delon and Terri Nelson for being South Orange residents who are now “serial entrepreneurs” in the Village. He then asked Deron to say a few words, and he told of the origin of the name “Humble”. He often heard people say, “Humble yourself” while growing up in Guyana. It was an order to relax, be raw, and be present. After moving to the bustling tri-state as a teen, he was inspired to use fitness as a way to radiate an inner calm. He and his wife Terri opened up the studio to share the humbling experience with others.

Julie Doran, Executive Director of South Orange Village Center Alliance then said, SOVCA is especially pleased to celebrate the grand opening of Humble in downtown South Orange since Delon and Terri are already business owners in the Village Center and they are South Orange residents. Their continued investment in the local community is something for us all to celebrate and support. Be sure to stop by and check out the beautiful studio they’ve created, you’ll definitely want to stay for a class or two!”

Humble believes strength starts with the heart. It is all about cultivating the best version of ourselves in and out of the studio. We want you to be greater than you were yesterday.”
