MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Public Health Division has release the following update regarding COVID-19:
March 18, 2020: If you are looking for COVID-19 test kits, we recommend you contact your healthcare provider or a local urgent care center. The NJ Department of Health is advising that people without symptoms should not get tested. Those with mild symptoms that can be managed at home are advised to do so. Urgent care centers and healthcare providers will test you if you meet the following criteria: cough, fever with shortness of breath and/ or chest tightness.
Please call these facilities before you go, inform them of your symptoms and tell them if you have been a close contact of a known or suspect case of coronavirus (COVID-19). Maplewood Town Hall does not have coronavirus test kits.
