ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — When Essex County released its daily coronavirus data, South Orange had added just one new coronavirus case since Monday, bringing the Village total to 108. Maplewood's total is now at 331 from 327 on Monday, according to Health Officer Candice Davenport.

Essex County's total positive caseload now stands at 19,255; the number of negative tests is 107,984. Statewide, 13,810 people have died from COVID-19. The number of infected individuals is likely to be much greater than indicated as this data ONLY includes persons who have been tested and whose lab results have been reported in the State’s data system.

Social distancing, hand hygiene, and other steps to prevent infection must be followed at all times. Mask wearing is now mandated statewide and should continue to help flatten the curve.
