“In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 sessions you’ll see the difference, and in 30 sessions you’ll have a new body." - Joseph Pilates
MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Is your New Year's resolution to exercise more? Be more healthy? Or to try to end chronic aches and pains? Or maybe your goal in the new year is to try something new? Whatever the reason, a perfect place to start is at Pinnacle Pilates, where their focus is on each person's individual path to wellness.
Owned by Maplewood resident Bridget Insana, Pinnacle's studio is fully equipped with designs by Basel, hand-built to Joseph Pilates' original specifications.
Pinnacle Pilates offers pilates training for all levels, and all ages. "We have teens all the way up to clients in their 70s," shared Insana, adding there is no right - or wrong - age to try pilates, and that pilates exercises are good for everyone.
"Since pilates apparatus can be modified, pilates is great for everyone. If a client has an injury or other issue, exercises can be adapted," said Insana.
Insana, who is certified in classical pilates through Power Pilates and Pilates Method Alliance, previously taught pilates in Los Angeles and New York City, and now is able to provide clients with a convenient location in Maplewood.
Insana works with a wide variety of clients from athletes, to brides-to-be, to those just starting fitness regimens. She has extensive experience dealing with all types of injuries, such as lower back pain, scoliosis, post-Natal, and other chronic conditions.
Guided by the client's personal goals, Insana concentrates on helping them reach their potential for fitness, recovery, balance, and agility. Since sessions are one-on-one or "duet," Insana can provide a fully personalized experience for the client.
"I love working with people one-on-one and in pairs so I can really focus on a personalized program that is completely tailored to the client," said Insana. "My goal is to inspire people towards better health and wellness through the study of pilates."
"At Pinnacle Pilates, we focus on individualized service in a quiet, private space," explained Insana. And, as Pinnacle Pilates is located in a residential home studio, there are no parking hassles when clients arrive for their sessions.
During their session time, the client is the only person using the studio. "The studio really is a place of serenity and privacy for the client," said Insana. "I'm glad to be able to provide this place for clients to relax, recharge, and meet their fitness goals, whatever they may be."
