MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Maplewood Police Department handled these matters from July 23 until now.

July 23, 2019; Package Theft; During the daytime hours two packages were stolen from in front of a home on Oakview Avenue.

July 24, 2019; Theft from Auto; Between 7 and 8 p.m., a cell phone was stolen from an unsecured vehicle parked on Fernwood Road.

July 25, 2019; Bicycle Theft; During the daytime hours a bicycle was taken from an open garage on Boyden Avenue.

July 26, 2019; Bicycle Theft; At approximately 9:30 p.m. a male was observed removing a bicycle from a garage on Woodside aod. 

August 1, 2019; Theft from Auto; During the overnight hours a wallet was stolen from an unsecured vehicle on Marie Place.

August 1, 2019; Theft from Auto; Between 10 and 10:30 p.m. an unsecured vehicle on Tuscan Road was entered and several items taken as well as a bicycle stolen from a residence on the 100 block of Tuscan Road.

August 5, 2019; Shoplifting; At approximately 9 pm, a male took several items from the Walgreens and fled without paying for them.

August 5, 2019; Theft from Auto; At approximately 11:15 p.m., a male was observed entering a vehicle on Garfield Place. Officers responded and located the suspect later identified as an Irvington man. He was arrested and charged with trespass and theft.
