SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – During the August meeting of the Maplewood Rotary Club held, at TORO LOCO in South Orange, one of the main items on the agenda was the presentation of a $500 donation to Project 200 ! School Supply Drive run by PBA #44 which represents the police men and women of the Maplewood Police Department. The presentation was made by Rotary Club President Claudine Baptiste and accepted by Detective Steve Gyimoty on behalf of the PBA.
The Rotary Club supports may different charitable organizations throughout the year, running a variety of fundraising events to allow them to do so.
Project 200, organized and run by Local PBA#44, Maplewood Police Department is a drive to raise 200 Book Bags and Supplies for Elementary children in the SOMSD Elementary Schools (K-5th Grade).
With the final collection day on Sunday, September 1, the plan is to distribute the supplies on Thursday, September 5th to the recipients.
