SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — As the weekend was gripped with protests locally, in Newark and New York, and across the country, someone decided to protest visually and illegally in downtown South Orange.
Sometime late Saturday evening to Sunday morning, a person or persons tagged the overpass on Third Street close to the corner of Sloan Street with spray paint. The comments included “Black Lives Matter,” “F--k Trump,” “Rest in power George Floyd,” and “F--k 12,” 12 being a slang reference to police.
The South Orange Police Department said they are investigating, but when asked if they had any leads would not comment further.
