SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - There was a fire Saturday morning in an attached two-car garage at a home on Crest Circle, according to a release from the South Orange Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived at the home at about 8 a.m., they found a heavy smoke condition from the garage, and entry to the garage was made by forcible entry and the fire was located in the garage, stated the release.

Firefighters "quickly knocked down and extinguished all visible fire," according to the release before extinguishing fire that had extended within walls and ceiling spaces, finishing by around 9:45 a.m.

Fire Investigators have determined the cause of this fire to be accidental in nature due to combustible materials in close contact with electrical equipment, stated the release.

No injuries were reported.
