MAPLEWOOD, NJ -- The Columbia baseball team battled traditional county power Millburn for seven innings before falling to the Millers, 3-2, on Friday.

Millburn built a 3-0 lead after three innings before the Cougars came back with two runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Spencer Melee of Columbia pitched a complete game four-hitter. He struck out three, walked three and allowed just one earned run against what is normally a hard-hitting, high-scoring Millburn batting order. Eliot Dix doubled in a run for Columbia.
