NEPTUNE, NJ -- Union City put together a sustained run in the third quarter to erase a two-point halftime deficit and went on to defeat the Columbia boys basketball team, 64-59, Friday in the first game of the Neptune Jubilee.

Chris Darcelin fired in 20 points for the Cougars (1-2), who led, 30-28, at halftime before being outscored, 18-6, in the third period.

Nigel Garcia and Josiah Lawful each scored 11 points for Columbia, which made it close again by scoring 23 points in the fourth quarter.
