MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, high school seniors worldwide have experienced a tumultuous end to their school year. The seniors at Columbia High School are no exception. In an attempt to normalize this unprecedented end of the year, CHS created videos to celebrate the accomplishments of their graduating senior class.

The first video Columbia posted was a virtual decision day, an annual tradition for CHS seniors. The video highlights each individual graduate and includes the university they plan on attending.

In the second video, CHS replicated a sports signing ceremony for student-athletes who have chosen to further their athletic career at a university. With fourteen CHS seniors committed to playing a sport at the collegiate level next year, the video praises them on their hard work and dedication throughout high school, sending them off with the reminder that “Once a cougar, always a cougar!”
