MAPLEWOOD, NJ -- Newark Academy overcame a three-point halftime deficit for a 56-48 girls basketball victory over Columbia on Thursday.

Ashley Phillip scored 16 points to lead Columbia (4-8), which led, 27-24, at halftime. Maia Little finished with 15 points for the Cougars.

Sam Keller paced Newark Academy in the first half, scoring 14 of her 20 points, Ivy Bethea complimented the scoring in the second half with 14 of her 18 points.
