BAYONNE, NJ — Marianna Valencia scored four goals to lead Bayonne to a 6-0 girls soccer victory over Columbia on Friday in the opening round of the Northeast, Group 4 tournament.

Emily Karlicki scored the other two goals for the Bees, who had a 4-0 lead at halftime. Angela Maino and Viviana Valencia each contributed two assists for Bayonne.

The Bayonne attack was also bolstered by an assist from Sydney Weber.  Loraine Valenzuela of Bayonne made three saves and Maura Hundley made two. The Bees, with 16 shots on goal, attempted twice as many shots as the Cougars.
