ROSELLE, NJ -- Joe Melillo scored one goal and assisted on another to help the Columbia-Nutley co-op ice hockey team register a 3-2 victory over Cranford Monday at Warinanco Rink.

With the score tied, Columbia (6-3-2) took a 2-1 lead on a power play goal early in the second period by Frank Matrona, with assists from Melillo and Cooper Rojas.

Rocco Albanese scored an unassisted goal with 9:33 left in the third period to extend the Columbia lead to 3-1. Johnny Matrona, the winning goalie, made 26 saves.
