MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Former New York Mets star Ron Darling recently wrote a book and he'll be coming to town this fall to talk about it.
The Maplewood South Orange Book Festival is presenting a book talk and signing with Darling, the legendary Mets pitcher and announcer, on Saturday, Nov. 16, at noon, at The Woodland, 60 Woodland Road.
Darling will discuss and sign copies of his book "108 Stitches," in which he tells stories about his time playing for Major League Baseball and reminiscences about legendary baseball stars he has met throughout his career.
During the event, Darling will be in conversation with former NY1 personality Budd Mishkin.
