Somers Library has evolved into a community center offering educational and recreational (entertainment) programs. Its commitment to providing quality programs is made possible through donations made to the Friends of the Library.
Have you and your family enjoyed the variety of programs offered in past years—concerts, theatrical productions, art classes, educational programs like “Back to the Bronx,” summer reading programs for children and adults, Battle of the Books, and many, many more? These were all funded by The Friends and can continue only if we have your support.
The Friends of the Library has begun our annual appeal. The very loyal Somers community is always generous. To become a Friend, pick up a brochure at the library, or contact us at somerlibrary.org/somers/friends.asp., or contact us by mail at The Friends of the Somers Library, P.O. Box 443, Somers, N.Y. 10589. For as little as $20, you can help ensure that the library maintains its high standards.
The Friends of the Somers Library is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization and gladly accepts donations of any amount including matching grants. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
Susan Berkow is president of the Friends of the Somers Library.
