PURDYS, N.Y. - MTA Police are on the hunt for a man they say attempted to rape a woman on Sunday at the Purdys Metro-North train station.

MTA spokeswoman Nancy Gamerman says around 7:54 a.m. Aug. 21, there was an attempted sexual assault at the train station. Details of the attempted assault were not available, she said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old. No description of his appearance was given. Officials are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything to call detectives at 718-361-2201. All calls will be kept confidential.
