NORTH SALEM, N.Y.-The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) announced on Thursday, Feb. 22, that it is looking for a retail concession vendor to rent a building adjacent to the Purdys Metro-North train station.

The building, which is currently vacant, is approximately 285 square feet. The MTA is looking for the vendor to sign a five-year lease and is suggesting a rent of $3,996 per year or $333 per month, according to its request for proposals.

While the MTA is seeking a “railroad-compatible retail or other commercial use” tenant, there are restrictions. There is no water source at the building. Additionally, the railroad will not allow vending machines, ATMs, video games or pay phones to be installed.
