SOMERS, N.Y. – Eric Dammeyer is the 44th member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 376 to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
He was promoted to Eagle Scout on Sunday, Feb. 12, at the Lake Lincolndale Clubhouse. The ceremony was well-attended despite the heavy snowfall. Among the 80 supporters in attendance were Town Supervisor Rick Morrissey and County Legislator Michael Kaplowitz, who presented Dammeyer with proclamations.
For Dammeyer’s Eagle Scout Service Project, a community service project required to reach the rank, he supervised the building of a foot bridge over a stream on the Blue Trail at Angle Fly Preserve in Somers. He was able to raise funds for the project by holding a car wash at Route 100 Market.
