SOMERS, N.Y. - Somers Scouts and VFW members planted about 500 American flags at the graves of veterans at Ivandell Cemetery on Thursday, May 5. The flags were planted in honor of Memorial Day, which takes place Monday, May 30.

SOMERS, N.Y.-It wasn’t the result Somers’ girls basketball team wanted when it headed to John Jay-Cross River on Feb. 9, but the Tuskers still managed a share of the league championship after a 48-38 loss.
