Now that I am retiring from my job as one of the children’s librarians in the Somers Library, I will be moving away from Somers to be closer to family. Before I leave, I wanted to publicly thank all the people who have made life here so satisfying. In particular, I want to say thank you for the outpouring of kindness when my husband George Bishop was killed at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. We think of him every day and at the same time we remember the unbelievable generosity of our neighbors and friends in Somers, both known and unknown. My sons, Will and Ryan, and I will carry this in our hearts wherever we go. Thank you.
