SOMERS, N.Y. - Two men were taken to the hospital late Sunday night after police say a wrong-way driver collided with another car on I-684.

According to New York State Police, a car driven by Stephen Becerra, a 30-year-old from Carmel, entered the highway from the southbound Exit 4 ramp heading northbound in the southbound lanes. Becerra’s car then collided head-on with a car driven by a 42-year-old Yonkers man.

Both men were taken to Westchester Medical Center. Becerra was in critical condition and the Yonkers man was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation and updates will be posted to nyspnews.com as information becomes available.
