August Exhibit Opens at Art Center's Mahopac Gallery - Rock It

The Putnam Arts Council announces its August Exhibit, Rock It,
an invitational exhibit featuring the innovative and contemporary
work of Carmel based artist Ed Dabrowski.  The public is invited to the
the opening reception and meet the artist on Saturday, August 3 from
3-5pm.  Admission and parking is free of charge.  The exhibit continues through August 8 with gallery hours Tuesday thru Friday from 12:30pm-4:30pnm and Saturdays and Sundays Augst 4-18 from 2-4pm.
A special art talk will be presented by Mr. Dabrowski on August 8 at 3pm:

That’s a 10-4, Satin Doll!

Remember the CB radio craze back in the 70s and early 80s?  This was before cell phones and the like took center stage.  Bud and I each had a CB radio in our cars.  His “handle” was Diamond Jim and mine was Satin Doll.  We joined a CB club and made new friends with Papa Bear, Lady Red, the Poet, Mud Turtle, Shoestring, Dodge Boy, Mopar Kid, Golden Bear.
