SOMERS, N.Y. - Andrew Yang, one of the many Democrats hoping to become president in 2020, went to Somers public schools from 1980-1990 before graduating from Phillips Exeter, a private boarding school in Exeter, New Hampshire.

Yang is one of 10 in the crowded Democratic field that will take the stage at 9 p.m. tonight, June 27, for the second Democratic debate along with former Vice President Joe Biden.

The Somers Central School District has records of Yang attending the public schools from 1980 to 1990. He graduated from high school at Exeter in 1992.

Yang, 44, is not a politician, but a businessman who under the Obama administration was named a Champion of Change in 2012 and a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship in 2015. He was born in upstate New York and has a brother, Larry, who also attended Somers schools.
