Somers Scout Provides Veterans With Their Own Seats of Honor

SOMERS, N.Y.--With help from his troop and family, 15-year-old Boy Scout Dominic Veltri of Somers Troop 376 was able to complete a project he’s had on his mind since childhood.

Somers Supports ‘Stephanie's Mission’ at Annual Softball Tournament

SOMERS, N.Y. – The eighth annual Softball Tournament and Family Fun Day in honor of Stephanie Crispinelli was held on Sunday, July 9, at Reis Park.

Crispinelli, a 2008 Somers High School graduate, died in 2010 while on a humanitarian mission to Haiti. A student at Lynn University, she was among the many victims of the 2010 earthquake that killed more than 300,000 people.
