Peter McManus: Somers' Litter Picker-Upper

SOMERS, N.Y.-Peter McManus has been picking up trash along Route 100 every Thursday for the last two decades.

“As long as I’ve been here, 18 years, I’ve been picking up litter,” McManus said.

Somers Volunteers Post Signs to Guide Rhinoceros Creek Visitors

SOMERS, N.Y.-Volunteers joined the Somers Land Trust on March 4 at Rhinoceros Creek Reservation to post signs around the perimeter of the property letting people know what activities are allowed.

Rhinoceros Creek Reservation was opened for the first time in February by the Somers Land Trust, which is tasked with preserving the property.
