Somers Judge Presides Over High School Classroom

SOMERS, N.Y.-On Wednesday, Nov. 15, students in Robert Carreira’s public affairs class at Somers High School sat attentively as Judge Michael J. McDermott discussed with them the inner workings of the three branches of government.

The visit was an important one for McDermott, who said that similar meetings with authority figures had a positive impact on his own life.
