Grocery Charged With Wetlands Encroachment in Somers

SOMERS, N.Y.-The company bringing a long-sought supermarket to downtown Somers has been charged with infringing on sensitive wetlands adjoining its construction site.

DeCicco & Sons, which operates boutique grocery stores in some half-dozen Westchester and Putnam communities, faces a fine of up to $4,000 when it answers the state charge in town court on Monday, March 5.
