BERNARDS TWP., NJ - The completion of road projects on Annin Road and Douglas Road are scheduled to close both roads again on Tuesday, July 11, if weather permits the work take to take place.
Paving on Annin Road from North Stone Hedge Drive to I-287 is scheduled to be completed between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, weather permitting, the township announced on Monday.
During that time, roads will be closed and access restricted, the township announcement said. On street parking will be prohibited what paving is taking place.
A tar-like coasting will be applied before the paving of Allen Road; this substance can damage vehicles. Residents are asked to make alternate parking arrangements and avoid driving on the street.
All road restoration is due to be completed after paving. All dates and times for the project are subject to change; the final paving of Annin Road already was delayed by weather.
Douglas Road to re-close for road striping
Douglas Road, closed last week for milling and paving, was open by the end of the week - but is due to close again for striping on the newly smooth road.
The township announcement said that roadway striping is due to be completed on Douglas Road between Allen Road to Liberty Corner Road, on Tuesday July 11. The project is due to start at 8 a.m.
Douglas Road will be closed during striping operation, according to the township. While the road is closed, drivers should not attempt to travel through the construction area.
Motorists are asked to follow all posted signs and detours on Douglas Road. Resident access will be maintained, according to the township.
