Baseball: Bernards Edges Delaware Valley, 5-4

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ - The Bernards baseball team rallied from a 4-1 deficit with two runs in the sixth inning and two more in the bottom of the seventh to claim a 5-4 victory over Delaware Valley on Thursday.

Tim Lallis's single tied the game and the throw home went out of play to bring in Phil Mahlik with the winning run. Mahlik also earned the victory with 2 2/3 innings of hitless relief pitching.

Jack Evleth went 3-for-3 with two RBI for Bernards (6-3). Daniel Ball went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, and Mahlik finished with two hits and two runs scored.
