Baseball: Bernards Rallies Past Voorhees, 3-2

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ - Robbie Holmes pitched six strong innings and hit the game-winning home run to lift Bernards to a 3-2 baseball victory over Voorhees on Thursday.

Holmes' two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth gave the Mountaineers (10-4) a 3-2 lead. He pitched the first six innings, gave up fve hits, struck out four, walked three and allowed one earned run. Phil Mahlik had a hit and scored a run for Bernards, which scored its first run on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the fifth.
