SOMERVILLE, NJ - Gregory Tannenbaum, 52, of Privet Way in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards Township has been arrested on a variety of child pornography charges, according to Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson and Bernards Township Chief of Police Brian Bobowicz.
The arrest stems from information provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to Robertson.
The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Bernards Township Police Department investigation alleges that Tannenbaum had engaged in sexually explicit chat and email conversations with a 15-year-old male, according to information from Robertson.
Detectives executed a search warrant at Tannenbaum’s residence Thursday and seized the defendant’s desktop computer, tablet, cellphone, two external hard drives and a digital camera, the prosecutor's office said.
Tannenbaum was arrested without incident and is being held at the Somerset County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail, authorities said.
Tannenbaum is charged with Manufacturing Child Pornography, 1st Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 3rd Degree and Possession of Child Pornography, 3rd Degree.
