BEDMINSTER NJ - This the police blotter published by the Bedminster Police Department

November 7th
At 0709hrs, Bedminster Police responded to the construction site off of Route 202-206 near the I-287 North exit 22A ramp for a report of a burglarized motor vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the foreman for Midlantic Construction LLC, who advised when he arrived on site he noticed that a Miller Bobcat welder and a red Honda GX Tamper Rammer were stolen out of the bed of a Midlantic work truck. The total worth of the stolen property is $5,300.00.

Stolen Motor Vehicle
November 7th
At 1153hrs, Bedminster Police responded to 10 Spencer Lane for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the homeowners who advised that a friend, Colin Harrison, age 22 of Manville, has been staying at the residence. They advised Harrison that they are moving and he would need to be out of the residence. The homeowners left and when they returned, their vehicle, a beige 2005 Acura TL, was missing as well as Harrison. They both advised they have never given Harrison permission to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was entered into the NCIC system as stolen. At approximately 1425hrs, the New Jersey State Police advised they had the vehicle stopped on I-78.

Brush Fire
November 10th
At approximately 1254hrs, Bedminster Police responded to the area of Smoke Rise Lane for a report of a brush fire in the area. Upon arrival the officer parked his patrol vehicle on Sussex Court which was adjacent to Smoke Rise Lane. The officer was able to observed heavy smoke and flames in the woods behind the residences. Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department responded as well as numerous mutual- aid fire companies from the immediate area. The fire was ultimately located in the woods between Smoke Rise Lane and Enclave Lane. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
