BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — The Bernards baseball team, which has drawn the fourth seed in its region for the Last Dance Tournament that begins next week, will be playing three weekday  games next week as they reunite after a lost spring.

The Mountaineers will play their first game in the pool-play portion of the tournament Tuesday at 3 p.m. against top-seeded Immaculata at the Prince Rodgers Complex in Bridgewater. That will be the nightcap of an opening day doubleheader that will start with Somerville playing Bridgewater at noon.

On Day 2 of pool play, next Wednesday Bernards will take on Somerville at 10 a.m. at Prince Rodgers. The Mountaineers will wrap up their first week of play with a 10 a.m. game against Bridgewater on Thursday.

The winner of that region will move on to the bracket portion of the tournament that begins the following week.

The 12 members of the Class of 2020 Bernards baseball program are: Max Cooper (OF/P), Ryan Falduto  (IF/P), Noah Gagnon  (IF), Eddy Gambelli (OF), Connor Goodman (P/OF), David Iaione (OF/P), James Kessler (C), Tom Orlic (P/OF), Tyler Prusina (OF), Chris Reyda (IF), Nate Scalia (C) and Colin Walsh (OF).

"This is the last time playing for many of these kids," Bernards coach Jeff Falzarano said. "It's invaluable in that respect. A good and positive experience--that is my goal. Our program kids, even the younger kids, want to get an opportunity to share this with their seniors."
