Bernards Basketball: Both Teams Start State Tourney on the Road


SOMERSET HILLS NJ - Both the Bernards High School Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball team have qualified for the NJSIAA state championship tournament.  The NJSIAA tournament committee has announced the tournament seeds and first-round matchups.  Both the boys team and the girls team will start the tournament on the road.

Both teams will travel to Jersey City to play Lincoln High School on February 27.

The committee gave the 16-3 Mountaineers boys team the eleventh seed in the Central New Jersey Group Two tournament.  They will face Lincoln, who is the sixth seed.

The committee gave the Mountaineers girls team the thirteenth seed in the Central New Jersey Group Two tournament.  They will also face Lincoln, who is the fourth seed.
